For this and other reasons there are lots of places where to eat: restaurants and trattorie, by the sea, up in the mountain or in the baroque town centre; traditional pastry shops that offer visitors the unique taste pleasure of granita, ice creams and typical pastries. Some, such as the Sicilian Martorana fruit (real-size reproductions of fruits and fish made with almond pastry called pasta reale), can be an ideal gift to take back home.

We are in Sicily,  land of Nero d’Avola, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Inzolia, Passito and Marsala.
